Dear Trade Partners,

Perth has been ranked, once again, amongst the Top Ten of the most livable cities in the world. Those of you who have already visited Perth know why. Those of you who haven’t are invited to have a read of the online article recently published in “Berliner Morgenpost” that we share in our section “What the press is saying”.

Why Papua New Guinea is a destination worth a visit is what six European Product Managers will discover when they go on a fam trip with Stella visiting the towns of Alotao and Goroka before they participate in the Tourism Expo Lukim PNG Nau 2015.

At this point we would like to send a heartily welcome to Stella Dielhenn, our new team member here at TCMG who will be the new Marketing Manager for Papua New Guinea.

Also new at TCMG is Australia Zoo. The Irwin family chose TCMG in order to have Australia Zoo established in the European market as a “Must Do” for self-drive visitors to South Eastern Queensland.

During our TCMG Road Show taking place in November in the cities of Zurich, Munich, Düsseldorf and Hamburg you will be able to talk to all those of our clients who will be attending the road show.

As always, we wish you a pleasant read and are looking forward to your feedback.

Your Team TCMG

Quicksilver: Dwarf Minke whale says hello to Silversonic passangers!

A curious dwarf minke whale delighted snorkelers travelling with Quicksilver’s Port Douglas dive and snorkel vessel Silversonic in the first in-water encounter this season. The minke believed to be a small adult swam around the vessel and surfaced a few times as if saying “hello and welcome to my world” to everyone while the vessel was moored at our Castle Rock site at Agincourt Reef. The four to six meters in length minke whale came within two meters of the passangers.

Meet...
… James Brown
Third generation pearl farmer of Cygnet Bay

Until the age of 12, James didn’t know of any life other than Cygnet Bay in the Kimberley region of Western Australia – one of the last untouched wilderness areas on Earth. His childhood was a real-life Swiss-Family-Robinson-meets-Castaway affair. No phones, no power, just a simple life of fishing and camping out on spearing trips with the local Bardi people.

It wasn’t until he returned from studying at university that he realised how special his home really was. The smells, the colours, the warm water on his skin, the reefs, the whirlpools, the huge tides and the thousand islands of the Buccanneer Archipelago – James felt compelled to protect it.

Continuing the 60-year legacy of his pioneering father and grandfather, James has cultivated the largest round pearl in the world (on exhibition in Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm’s show room in Broome), established a marine research centre and is now passing on his knowledge of country and sea to his children. And for the privileged few who visit this remote Kimberley outpost, James offers an exclusive backstage pass to the pearling industry and real life as a local.

On the road with TCMG
TCMG welcomes a new team member

On 1st of September 2015, after having worked for a specialist dive wholesaler for the past three years, Stella Dielhenn joined our team here at TCMG. She will be the Marketing Manager and your new contact person for all things Papua New Guinea.

Two years ago, Stella joined TCMG on a famil trip to PNG. That’s when she fell in love with the destination, its people and places and when she acquired first hand knowledge of the destination. In September 2015, she will be back in PNG escorting a group of European product managers on famil trip and attending the Tourism Expo Lukim Nau.
German travel writers meet with WA's whale sharks

From 17th to 26th July a group of four German media travelled up Australia’s Coral Coast, escorted by our PR manager Cornelia.

The freelance print and radio journalists as well as blogger discovered the beauty of Kalbarri National Park during a real Abseiling Adventure, learnt a lot about the indigenous culture on their day tour in Francois Peron National Park with Capes from Wula Guda Nyinda who was real fun to be with, met the dolphins from Monkey Mia, enjoyed great views on Ningaloo Reef from up the air during their charter flight from Denham to Coral Bay and had an adventure of their lifetime when swimming with the whale sharks in Exmouth.
Product managers diving the reefs of PNG

From 4th to 16th August Rhett escorted five Product Managers from European dive specialists to some of Papua New Guinea’s best diving spots. The group explored the reefs of Lissenung Island (New Ireland), Walindi (West New Britain) and Tufi (Oro Province on the main land).

It was great being able to compare and contrast the different attributes of Walindi Plantation Resort, Lissenung Island Resort and Tufi Dive Resort – all of which offered a range of different dive options and conditions along with cultural activities as well in each location.

Roger Winter from Roger Tours who has completed nearly 12000 dives said that his dive out on the reef at Tufi was one of his best ever.  We’d say that’s a recommendation then!
